Opening Hours

Shrine Grounds, Prayer Room & Gardens: Open daily - Always accessible to pilgrims (except during dangerous weather conditions)

Ladyewell House: Tuesday to Friday 11:00am – 3:00pm
Closed Sunday to Tuesday (open for group bookings by arrangement)

St Mary’s RC Church Mass Times:
Tuesday to Thursday: 9:00am and Sunday: 10:00am & 3:00pm

Ladyewell Shrine Mass Time:
Saturday: 12 noon

Directions

By Car: Fernyhalgh is easily accessed via the M6 (Junction 32) and M55 (Junction 1). Use postcode PR2 5ST for satellite navigation.

By Public Transport: Take a train to Preston Station. Taxis and buses serve the Fulwood area. Please check local schedules for connections to Fernyhalgh Lane.

Parking: For everyone’s safety, please follow posted signs and any steward instructions.

  • Large Coaches: Please park at St Mary’s Church.

  • Private Vehicles: Use the designated car park 400 yards from the shrine.

  • Drop-off and Disabled Access: Available at the shrine for blue badge holders only.

The shrine grounds and Ladyewell House have partial wheelchair access. If you or someone in your group requires special assistance, please contact us ahead of your visit so we can support your needs.
